Gaining weight doesn’t mean bad just like losing weight doesn’t mean good. It’s not the end of the world. There is a lot more to you than just the way your body looks. If you want to lose weight or become healthier, do it for you, but don’t make it stressful on yourself or feel inadequate just because your body isn’t what you think it’s “supposed” to look like. As long as your doctor hasn’t told you to lose weight, there is actually no NEED to lose weight, despite what people are always saying about it. Whether you want to lose weight or not, being physically active is almost always a good idea. It’s a natural mood booster and you will start to appreciate your body for what it can DO rather than for how it just looks. Also, feel your body with things that are good for it and make it feel good, not just to lose weight, but to feel good, inside and out. Eating nutritious things gives you more energy and will make you feel better overall as well as have many health benefits for you. Get lots of sleep, drink lots of water, and try to feel better about all the cool things your body can do that you take for granted. Think about all those things that make you a great person that don’t have to do with how you look, maybe you have a great sense of humour, or you are good at cheering people up, or you are good at art or music or SOMETHING. Everyone has a thing, you just have to look for it. Don’t be so hard on yourself. You are enough, just as you are, but it’s always good to keep healthy and take care of yourself, because honestly, that’s what you deserve! :)
